About RBJ’s

RBJ's Spreadable Fruit began as a side business of RBJ's Restaurant, a way to increase front door traffic during the bone chilling winters of Northwestern Minnesota.  Little did anyone know just how well the company would succeed.  Started in 1996, RBJ's Spreadable Fruit has grown from a small-town jelly company to a very successful corporation that sells its products in fine gift and gourmet stores across the nation.

The company got its start when Kim Samuelson, Owner and President, began making a batch of her grandmother's rhubarb-strawberry spreadable fruit in the kitchen of her RBJ's Restaurant.  With the sweet smell wafting from the kitchen, the restaurant patrons were soon asking if they could sample it.  It was their urging that got Kim thinking she had something.  "With all the positive response, I thought it would be fun to have jars available for people to purchase and take home."

Seven years later, RBJ's Spreadable Fruit is thriving.  The company sells products to stores and customers across the nation.  In 1999 it was featured in the April/May issue of "Taste of Home" cooking magazine, bringing more attention and buzz to the company.  In addition to its own domestic sales, RBJ's private labels products for several large companies across the nation.  The company also offers corporate gifts for businesses looking for unique incentives for their employees and customers.  Just recently RBJ's introduced six new products to their gourmet product line, bringing more high-quality and flavorful products to the table.
